Simulation

“Simulation is the process of designing a model of a real system and conducting experiments with this model for the purpose of either understanding the behavior of the system and/or evaluating various strategies for the operation of the system.”

Simulation is one of the most widely used techniques in operations research and management science - No longer the approach of “last resort”!
The main objective in simulation training, which also includes the handling of lifelike stress situations, is not only the refreshing of basic knowledge but also to raise the awareness for dangerous situations, crisis management, team work principles including the engine personnel and maneuvering skills.

Our simulator facilities are based on Transas NTPRO 5000 in latest update version with currently 5 simulator stations:

• 1 x 270° bridge with DP console, Rotor-, ASD-, Tractor- and Voith-Schneider tug facilities
• 2 x 180° bridges with DP console, Rotor-, ASD-, Tractor- and Voith-Schneider tug facilities and equipped with a fully functional winch function including tension winching for escort towing, one of the 180° bridges with additional rear visual channel;
• 2 x desktop based bridges with 3 monitor visualization system; all with GMDSS
